Hyatt Regency Spa and Marina San Diego Great View
We had a fun stay, nice hotel with great location. Our room has a stunning view of Mission Bay and Pacific Ocean. It has exceptional outdoor pools which the kids really enjoyed, and very convenient to get to SeaWorld.

Hyatt Regency Spa and Marina
The hotel is clean, modern, and comfy! The service is efficient and friendly. It was pretty busy at the hotel, filled with families and quite a few business people.
There are two pools with large water slides, and a hot tub/jacuzzi. The water slides are so much fun!! It wasn't just the kids going down them either! Gotta love the free slides!
We rented two paddle boats and had a blast. Plenty of other recreational sea toys to rent too.
Great location, Great hotel. We'll add this to our list of favs.

Convenient to Seaworld and Old Town. Great, safe, and nice hotel. Not really any restaurants within walking distance from the hotel so you are pretty much limited to hotel restaurant or room service unless you take a taxi or have a car. There is a small hotel store that sells the usual snacks. We found a great Rib joint called Phil's BBQ, on Sports Arena Blvd (not too far from the hotel but definitely not in walking distance). They were the best darn ribs we have found in Cali!!!
Our room was in the tower and had a great view of the harbor and city. Parking is $20/night... OUCH!!!!
The pool at this hotel was the best. The kids loved the water slides. The staff couldn't have been any nicer in particular, the pool attendees.
Overall, no real complaints except for the price of parking. I don't understand how they can charge that fee when you are staying at the hotel??

My suite was nice though I really didn't spend much time in it being that I was in town for a two day conference. Parking was valet only. Restaurant service was limited due to cutbacks, though they were helpful and hard working. For decent dining, need to walk several blocks including crossing a busy highway. No airport shuttle service- taxi charge is $20 each way. Really need a car to get to downtown from this hotel. There were a lot of kids running around playing ball in the hall but when I called the front desk to report on this, the staff took care of it immediately. Not that I am against kids having fun but it went on for almost two hours. Overall, this hotel served my needs and I was able to get a good night sleep after my busy days in San Diego.

This happened to be our, "uh-oh...we better stay in a hotel instead of driving after a crazy night of dancing and drinking" night. The cost and consequences of a DUI is just not worth it!
The best part of the hotel is the view from our room. We were on the 17th floor and had a 180 degree view of the San Diego Bay. Very, very, very romantic! The linens are of high quality and the decor is ultra modern. The only drag was that their hotel bar was closed (closes at midnight) and there was no 24 hour room service. (We were probably better off that particular night without either)
This hotel seemed to cater to the families. There were a ton of kids out by the pool early in the morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families with or without kids that particularly want to stay close to SeaWorld. It is ideal for that.

We stayed at The Hyatt Regency for four nights. The room was nice and spacious enough for a family of four. We stayed on the 8th floor of the tower. The staff is always nice and helpful. Our stay included breakfast at the Red Marlin (on-site restaurant) which was great. The pool was perfect for the kids and the swim-bar/restaurant was close enough to be able to have a drink and/or bite to eat while watching the kids. Lifeguard is on duty from 10-5 daily.
Location: Absolutely perfect especially if you plan on hitting Sea World.

Excellent family hotel. The water slides were a huuuuuge hit with our kids. Thankfully our youngest just made the height restriction of 42 inches or it would have been a nightmare. The water taxi is very convenient. For a very small charge, you can take the taxi to and from Sea World.
Our room worked out well. We had two double beds to accommodate the four of us. Our room was on one of the upper floors and had a wonderful view of La Jolla. This hotel was filled with activities for the kids and adults too. We had a fantastic time in San Diego.
